EASY SALTWATER QUESTIONS?????????

HLLE is short for Head and Lateral Line Erosion..Its a disease that disfigures fish and causes ulcerations of the main lateral line of a fish ( down the length of the fish's body )...Usually starts of around the head and eye area's of the fish, when it gets advanced, it erodes the coverings over the gills and fins...

Found this pic for you, it looks the same as your tang does in the pics you have posted..

Not 100% on the treatment, but i would suggest putting in a hospital tank, raise temp up, keep water very very clean and feed plenty of vitamins..Hope fully someone else like FIshieness will chime in as he has bags of experience...

what is HLLE ?????

i thought u ment hell my bad :duh: :duh: :duh: :duh:

head and lateral line erosion... caused by improper foods and/or water conditions. It is not a disease, just a symptom of said causes... don't put it in a QT, don't treat it with nothing, just fix the conditions it's in. IF you want my opinion... it's just disgusting how bad you've let that tang get... I wouldn't be surprised if you've done ireparble damage.

Yes im just getting 2 percula clowns next week and then an eneomne in about 6 weeks......
