This is wild. Now I'm under the impression that the mirror is somehow bonded to the glass.
From the front of the glass - is the mirror absolutely perfect? If it is then maybe it was bonded, like factory auto glass is. If it looks imperfect, then someone may have used mirror window tint. If that is the case maybe water and soap may do the trick. I think window tint supply shops even have tint remover. I'm reaching for straws here.
