So where's the fighting chance? Unless this is happening at Sea World, , or you just happen to be taking a SW dip next to a medical frigate, a great white, in open water will make short work of you--and if he doesn't, the blood from your wounds will likely invite every predator within a 100 miles over for a buffet. Doesn't really matter.

I have always heard that if you are about to be attacked by a shark you are suppose to punch him in the nose.

If that doesn't work you can always poke him in the eye with your stump.

I would say head first although the thought of at least trying to kick the crap out of an attacking shark would be interesting. Imagine the headlines if you survive. I guess that feet first has it's pluses...if you can call that a plus.
