We've got a couple of pieces of Malaysian driftwood in our 72g tank. I noticed this morning that there were a few small pieces floating in the top of the tank and that both logs look like someone has been chewing on them. Our tank as skunk corydoras, angels, serpae tetras and odessa barbs in it. Are any of these known for eating driftwood? Should I be concerned about this?

IMHO I would not be worried with respect to fish nibbling on it.

But if the situation persists then your water may begin exhibiting a light yellow tint as your driftwood is not "well aged".

BTW:

How did you prepare this driftwood prior to induction into your tank?

The wood has been in there about 4 days. The LFS told us that the wood already had be prepped for use, so all we needed to do was give it a good rinse in hot water before adding it, which we did. I looked for soft spots and loose pieces before we put it in the tank, but didn't find any.

Keep an eye on it.
sometimes the malaysain driftwood still has chuncks of bark on them that may sluff off in time. these sometime look like knurls in the wood when in reality it is part of the bark.

The outer layer can also soften and "dust" off.

To note as well, it doesnt matter really how well the wood has been aged, it can release tanins into the water for years.
