Eclipse 6 Lighting Upgrade

Hi

As you all can see I'm new around here. =d well my question is do you guys have any recommendation on lighting in a Eclipse 6 tank? i already have quite a few plants, but the light on this tank doesnt seem to do much.
any kind of help is appreciated :grinyes:
 
well i guess imma go with that fixture. i did read that the actinic isnt going to do anything for plants. so what would you guys suggest as a replacement? gahh i seem like im talking to myself lol
 
Just curious because I have the same tank. What makes you think this will fit an Eclipse? Are you going to ditch the top and just retrofit the coralife on? Have you looked at trying to find a better bulb as an alternative?

I have plants with a florite substrate in my 6 and so far they seem to be ok with the existing lighting system but I would be interested in shat you decide to do and how it works out. When you upgrade the lighting I think you cause a need for CO2 to offset the Algae. Have you taken this into account or is it a non issue?
