Rex Grigg - this is especially for you. I saw your page on this on your guide and immediately remembered how much of a crap-schute they are.

All science aside, let's talk about their ethics.

Here is a picture of George Booth's (of Aquatic Concepts) planted Discus aquarium:

Pretty!

Now, go to the Eco-Aqualizer testimonials page. Ahhh... beautiful freshwater jungles beaming with health.

Look!

Wait... that's familiar.
Ok, let's steal someone else's photo, flip it (being sneaky!) and do the worst Photoshop hack job at pasting some random discus pictures on there to cover it up.

And this, whoa I'm convinced:

I would love to find wild-form discus with opaque neon blue fins, really.

I sent them a flame about stealing people's material to create false and misleading testimonials, .... no response.

:thud:

Oh good catch! I love that. Email me the pictures and I will add it to the flame.

I just went to their photos page. Every Discus photo is planted. How many people actually have planted Discus tanks among Discus keepers. Not all of them. Of course the plants in the background make it easier to hide the photoshop job. And if you go to the freshwater photos I know I have seen that picture of the Glo-fish before.

It's pretty crazy what people think they can get away with. I'll shoot those photos over to the email listed on your guide.

It's funny, almost all of their photos are 'shopped. He seems to enjoy using the same picture of damsels for his marine/reef section, too.

This one just cracks me up:

i guess if you use enough 'big words' and string them together in nonsensical sentences', they'll actually make sense to some people. some people will evidently fall for anything, eh?
