Eco Complete cleaning

I just finished setting up my new 55g tank and I added eco complete as substrate. So how do I clean it? Do I use a siphon or just stir it? I'm just asking now for future purposes once I do a water change and there are fish inside.

I'll post pictures in the newb forum once I catch my breath and eat =P.

:iagree: Also you could swirl the vac around over the subtrate to stir up the organics, then again they make good ferilizer too.
