Ecoaqualizer?

In any case, I find it awfully strange how everytime I find someone who supports the product they tend to be new to the forums. Trolls from ecoaqualizer itself perhaps?

Strange argument that isnt it? Ive just started using a computer to communicate with fellow aquarists - therefore I have only JUST started keeping fish?

No offence meant Slipknottin, but I have been keeping fish very successfully for 38 years now. And Ive seen many changes in the technology used - I too have been sceptical of much of it.

I cannot say for sure that the ecoaqualizer is responsible for the water quality in my main 200 gal tank (which is excellent). But I can say that the stability of the readings I take - and I religiously check and record them daily - have occurred since its installation. The clarity is not as good as promised, but then I have this nasty habit of chucking blackwater extract in - this doesnt help! (My partner hates this!)

Technically, if what you read is to be believed, my bio filters shouldnt be alive - the ph is 6.1, there is no carbonate hardness, and the GH is only 4. But I have zero nitrite, zero ammonia and nitrate < 12.5 mg/l. Thats not bad by any stretch, esp when you have two rays that do everything they can to bugger things up for you!

Exactly, there is no evidence whatsoever provided by you, the company, or anyone else that uses it. Only comments like 'my tank has been great since I installed the device'

I accept that wholeheartedly. But then I dont write it off either. Good job for us humans that no one wrote off the works of Curie and Röntgen though :)

There is big difference in peer-reviewed data in the scientific lit, which can be, and routinely is tested by others in the field - some with the idea of shooting it down, some to confirm the promising and/or fascinating and promising results - when compared to mumbo-jumbo such as "These combined forces in a vacuum sealed reaction chamber, allow ionization of passing water molecules which reduces Hydrogen Bonding." The test data is shown where? The mode of action of "reduced hydrogen bonding" on aquarium microecology is described where? The comparison beween a series of so-equipped tanks and the controls are published where?

I am a scientist. I do not believe, I test. But I do select what equipment and processes I take the time to test. That one is way down the list.

Il set up a test for it. But I need a sample unit.

I got a sample, put it on my tank, and there were no changes at all for the two-three months it was installed. Removed the device, no changes again.

Generally to do a real study youd need dozens of units, dozens of similar tank setups. Of course, even if you had proven without a doubt that the unit does nothing, many would still believe it does.
