First of all, this seems very one sided without a lot of research done...and I'm wondering how many of you are actually professional biologists Marine or other?
I can happily say my Eco-sphere is 12 years old. All of my shrimp (3) are still alive in it and are quite active. I only found this site because I wanted to know what type of shrimp they were. Now I understand they can live 20+ years this makes me happy because I am sure they will. I just find it ridiculous that everyone that has commented in this thread is against something that NASA engineered and without any actual evidence is just badmouthing with no facts or statistics.
Put some statistics up about the eco-spheres being bad for these shrimps. Show some actual data...until then i kind of have to tend to believe the good folks at NASA...who are professional biologists, chemists, physicists....
just my *plink plink* two cents.
