Kryptolebias marmoratus. This unassuming little fish has a lot more to it than meets the eye! It spends long periods of time living out of the water inside logs where it keeps moist and breathes through its skin. When spawning time rolls around, no worries as most individuals are hermaphrodites and they fertilize themselves! And unlike all of the previous exotic deep sea species this little wonder is native to the coastal regions of the SE US!
