As the title says.....there is a storm coming and I did a WC yesterday. Now I have eggs! This is the third or fourth spawning of this pair. I have decided to try to hatch some this time as I have never tried before. I took as many out as I could--perhaps 20 or so. I squished some :silly: by accident. I know that some are not viable, but some look fertilized and are a light opaque tannish color.
I removed the eggs by trying to roll the eggs with my finger but had better luck giving them a quick roll to dislodge them and then just gently grasping them enough to place them into a little plastic container that take away soup came in for dinner one night. The container has an airstone in it and is floating at the top of the waters surface. I don't have any methelyne blue so I have put a bit of melafix in the container with them. Most of the eggs are lying at the bottom of the container as I was unable to get them to stick to the sides of the plastic tub. There are some eggs that have become stuck together. I think they should not be touching as this increases the chances for fungal infection.
Any help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated! I have no idea what I'm doing--just winging it! It'll be fun to try to get them to hatch!!!
