eggs on new plants

I bought a bunch of Hogwort from the lfs today and noticed it had clear egg sacs on it...

What's the most common hitchiker on plants?

Snails

they are most likely pond snails.... it's the number one way of transport for these guys and a reason people bleach dip the plants before placing them in their tanks.

The lfs gets a lot of mystery snails... if these are pond snails, are they a pain in the butt and what do they look like?

definately is snails. I work at a lfs and we get them all the time

they wouldn't be mystery snails, they lay eggs above the water line of the tank. Pond snails can be considered a pest if the tank is overfed. f the tank isn't overfed and is in prime condition constantly, they shouldn't get out of control.

they are small, never going over about a half inch big and can get to this point if out of control

in that pic are shrimp, pond snails and a few ramshorn snails. The abundance of them are pond snails.

wow... what kind of shrimp are those? My daughter would love those, they're yellow!
