The reason I’m posting in this forum is I have found eggs on the side of my 20 gal tank. The eggs look like snail eggs but this tank has never had any snails in it. Currently the only inhabitants are 1 – Betta who was on the losing end of a battle with a dwarf gourami, 6 guppies (because my granddaughter liked them) and two corys. I noticed the corys were acting odd so I stopped and watched. The corys were in a “T” formation, I thought they were just playing around. A while later I noticed the eggs in the attached picture. How can I tell if they are Cory eggs and that the Cory were PLAYING. :naughty:
Sorry for the lousy pictures I have a cheap camera:thumbsdown:

They are cory eggs. They weren't PLAYING, your cories spawned for you! Congrats!!!

yup! Cory eggs. My glass always looks like crap cause these little buggers are constantly at it (and then they eat them!) Jeez!

Unless you seriously want to raise cory fry, I'd say just watch them. If they don't get eaten you could use a magnifying glass and check each day to see the babies develop. If you really want to raise fry, I think you would need to pull the eggs into a breeder somehow so they or they babies wouldn't get eaten. I know there have been several threads on this forum about cory fry - so a search should give you most any info you need. Good luck and enjoy the adventure.
