Theyre plastic, but they don't mind. I went with these as ive got no light on their tote.
However today, they've started chasing the female around, which is a very good sign. Just had a major cold front move through last night too.

Well, I finally saw some chasing of the busy female swimming all around. Are those 2 different males? That would be good!
I've held onto some plastic plants...goodness knows why, for many years (35+), lol. I almost always go with live plants these days if I possibly can, I have lots!
Again, go NC!! We want to see weitzmanii eggs & fry!!

Ive got 4 individuals, 1 for sure female, 2 for sure males. Not 100% on the younger one, but likely male. But the 2 chasing the female were males. I know I'm keeping a couple for myself if they breed successfully.

Got a couple fry so far, still got some eggs left to go.
But adults have spawned a second time this week
I was going to ask you to circle the fry & then I saw 1!! Maybe you're training my spotting abilities with all you tiny fry pics, lol.

I collected about 18 eggs total.
More development to hatch, but ive got still the 2 fry from the first batch, but im thinking they were from an older batch of eggs i missed because the first eggs I collected are just now showing embryos inside!
And I've got about 20 or so aeneus fry as well

We're kind of on the cusp of temp changes in many places, still hot or dropping a lot...or in my case , both, with hazy smoky skies (cough).
