Eheim 2026 leaking!

You may find that none of this helps, and the problem in fact, is the same as the one I had. Theres a red gasket in the head itself, which Eheim wont sell you. Some shops have this part. When you prime, sometimes if the gasket is a little sticky, the primer twists this "red canister sealing ring" as its called apparently, and it leaks. It took ages to come up with the right answer, and a major wet floor. nevermind, got it sorted in the end.

Eheim2026

I recently purchased a new Eheim 2026 from a local Bigal's , now that i'm reading this thread i'm worried about my filter, I also dont seem to have a "
connector " which attaches to the bottom of the "MAIN Head" in the INPUT hole which would connect to the base of the canister in the first basket. I just wanna know if this is correct? is there supposed to be a piece there? hope i've explained myself somewhat correctly.. Also I dont seem to have any O-Ring's , there is a sealing gasket around the whole "MAIN Head" , but where the impeller is " in that bigger hole " under the Main Head, there is no seal or O-ring , if that is where it's supposed to go.

"Red canister sealing ring" went on mine. I can't find a replacement. I'm tempted to silicone the whole primer and be done with it. I won't buy a PRO II again.
