I have a 55 gallon community tank with a penguin 330 hob. I want to get rid of it and step up to a canister. If I can afford it I want to get an Eheim Pro II 2026 canister. Thats the dream anyway. At 250 gph and a rating up to 92 galllons, would it be a waist of money or too much flow. If anyone has any suggestions on what canister to get, please chime in.

Thanks a ton!

No I wouldn't worry about it being too powerful. I think it will work fine. Also if you step up to a bigger tank, you know you can still use that filter. It is definately a good investment.

if the current is too powerful you can always reduce it but you cant make it any stronger and also theres no such thing as too much filteration

I run one on my high tech planted 50 gal- it also doubles as my co2 diffuser. have had it running for over 4 years that way and it still runs so quietly you cant tell it is on. Get one.
