Is the Eheim 2217 enough filtration for a 92g corner tank? I'm particularly interested in it's ability to handle the biological filtering. I'm also considering adding a sponge filter that can be moved to a quarantine tank.

i use an eheim pro II 2026 for a canister on my 75g and still felt that i needed a large HOB to supplement. it really depends on your desired bioload.. i'm sure a group of small shoaling fish wouldnt be a problem, but if youre trying to keep some tankbusters, i would upgrade.

The 2217 should work fine for bio filtering on a tank that size - it really depends on your fish load. I dont think it'll move enough water though (an additional powerhead may suffice). I run an eheim 2028 and a 2228 on my 90 and the water flow is decent, but could be better.

I have a 92gal corner with keyna and yellows labs 40 ttl I use a wet and dry I guess it depends on the amount of fish you stock.

i think a 2217 and a couple sponge filters would be great. If you get a decent air pump, you can drive 3 big sponge filters.
