Eheim 2231 - voltage question?

Here's the situation:

I have an Eheim 2231 that I brought with me from Europe which is rated 230v/50Hz. Obviously this won't work in Canada if I just buy a plug adapter as our voltage is 110-120 - the same as the US.

On the flip side, I do have a continual-use transformer rated far above the wattage of the filter that can convert the voltage AND want to use the filter connected via the transformer.

My question is: Will the filter act normally under these conditions? I only ask because all other electronics I've used in Canada, but European rated, have worked fine, with the exception of an alarm clock. It ran fast.

If you have any "know how" on this subject I would reallly appreciate it. I really like the Eheim line and would love to keep this filter for use here in Canada.

Well seeing that nobody ventured a reply I went ahead and plugged the filter in. So far so good - it's working fine. Eheim 2231 (Eur.voltage 220) plugged into transformer working smoothly.
