Things to check
First be certain, really certain, that you have not over packed the baskets. If you do they will warp slightly and this will prevent the top from sealing correctly. Better to have 1/4" too little media than 1/16" too much! IME, if the baskets warp it will take a long time for them to get back into proper shape, if they ever do. I think mine are OK now, but they did not seat properly for a while.
Then, if that is OK, suspect the O-ring. Expensive thing to replace, call around to see who even has it. I had a bad experience with using Vaseline for lubricant, I think the silicon lube sold in fish stores is better.
