Hi, This is my first post to this forum - your archives are great! I have a 15 gallon tall tank (hand-me-down, hoping to upgrade now that husband has graduated from college) with 28W CF lighting. There's about 2 inches of sand with light ferts, and it's. The tank has been set up and running for eight months and we have a few amazon swords, java fern and anacharis growing well.
What's the best way to move this tank during our eight-hour drive to our new home? Already took most of the fish back to the lfs and will get new ones once settled. I don't want to have to completely recycle the tank once we get there. Can I just drain most of the water and cover the tank and transport it in the back of my Explorer tha way? Any advice would be great! Thanks.
