So I just noticed my Electric Blue Jack Dempsey Male is flashing when any of the Female Dempseys get close to him. I looked over him and the females, no noticable parasites on them, I think he's doing it to show his dominance in the tank. Again he only does it when a female gets close to him. Whats your input on this?
For those of you who don't know what flashing is, it's when they glance off objects such as rocks, plants, etc.... in the tank. It could be a sign of parasites that theyre trying to scrape off, but it's also done to show the fishes dominance.
