Electric razor

I cant believe I'm the only one who really likes his electric razor. Mine shaves my face really close and doesn't irritate my skin at all. I do have to go back with a regular razor and get under my chin, the electric just doesnt get that curvature very well. I get about a week and a half out of one gel pack. If memory serves me there are 5 or 6 packs in a regular refill container. Refills cost me about $4.99 and they are probably a little less volume total than a can of shaving cream.

My recommendation would be to try a electric razor before you buy. It will take your skin awhile to get used to the electric razor (~ 1 month) and give you the best shave.

It does take up to 3 weeks to really get your skin used to an electric razor that is for sure.

I love using a blade as well, but my skin gets cut so easily I can't get a super great shave with a blade. I usually use the blade in the morning and the electric razor for touch up after work or before gettign into bed.

I was an electric user for a long time until I got few up with the 5 o'clock shadow at around noon.. So, I convinced myself to try a Mach 3, having NEVER tried a blade before.. I won't go back to the electric. It feels so much better now, and I get no complaints from Mrs. Corax ;)

Like TKOS, my skin cuts very easily when I shave with a blade. I had terrible acne as a kid and was left with lots of nooks and crannies that blades tend to dip into and tear up. I'd rather use an electric and live with a slight 5:00 shadow than go through an extra roll of toilet paper each week patching my face. ;)

mach 3 power!

thats the new mach that has a vibrating handle. at first glance, i thought "yeah right! whats that going to do" but my wife bought me one to try. just like y'all, i have VERY sensitive skin that cuts easily. This thing is great! kinda makes the hair stand up as it goes over. Fantastic!

I have fairly sensitive skin, so right now I just use some plain old electric clippers for my face and head. That doesn't get very close, though. My whole head has a 5 o'clock shadow type look. The gel thing sounded like a good idea, since it will be like putting lotion or something on at the same time you're shaving. I was wondering where you got the gel replacements.

The mach 3 has crossed my mind, too.
Try the Mach 3 and Edge for Sensitive Skin. Edge starts as gel but turns into shaving cream when spread on face. There is also a 4 blade razor out now.

I have tried every type of shaving cream and for me they all work the same. I know that I do prefer a blade shave but it just takes me so long as I have to be careful to stop taking all of my skin away.
