Electrocuted by my tank light. How?

Get a cheap probe in the hardware store. It looks like a screw driver some times. You touch one end and probe with the other. A light turns on when brobe is on the "hot" wire or very close to it. These run a couple bucks here in the us.
Unplug all the electrical stuff that is in your aquarium. Then, plug it in one by one and check the water with the probe. If there is light, then that is your problem item. Check the light body as well.
Or you could put your hand in the tank and touch the light with your nose and whatch bubbles come out of your mouth.... just kidding.

I am still laughing at the very thought. Thanks for the giggles....:headbang2:

Have you found out anything yet?

A multitester should work fine for tracking down the culprit. You might check voltage from water to cover, then unplug one thing at a time and see when it disappears. At that point you will know what is getting the voltage to the water and can either perform a repair or replace the item.
