Ember Tetras spawning?

I also have moderately hard water, 250ppm gh and 7.8 PH. And this is after mixing in 50% RO. Surprising that they would spawn after adding salt to the water. Maybe just the change sparked something.
I have had Rams spawn in my water but never viable eggs. Would be quite a shock if these egg somehow hatched.

I doubt the salt had any influence on them spawning, they were ready...salt or no salt. Keep us posted. You may want to consider keeping a light on near the tank at night to ward off night egg eating. What else is in the tank?

I have 14 Embers, 3 Cardinals and unfortunaely, 4 BBGs. Have been thinking of rehoming the bumblebees anyway. Thanks for the light tip.

Good luck to you!!! Wish you were closer I'd run over with a bag full of moss for ya! I think they only take 3 days to hatch. Puts a big damper on the gravel vaccing too!
