anti biotic meds should be used for the entire course of treatment (10-14 days is common) even after it looks like the Sx are gond the infection is still there and probably low grade.
if you treated for 5 days then stopped the infection was able to gain ground on the treatment. you will then need to begin a second course of treatment starting from day 1 but this time finish the course.if the recommended c ourse was 5 days and the infection came back then you may need to find a new medicine.
