i just got my 37 gal tank going and for some reason, my skimmer water level won't stay down, it's too high and thus, overflows causing a leak, it's a Finnex PS-60, what am i doing wrong, how do i fix this, help ASAP
You really shouldnt have the skimmer on then. But to ansew your question and explain that. Your water is still very new. You have no disolved organic compounds to skim. Your pump may be strong enough to push the water up that far as it will gain weight and density as you get a bio load. what are your water params?? Sg being of most intrest in this case??
I'll look around tomorrow and see what I can find you. Your skimmer will prolong your cycle if you use it to early just so you know. I'll look and see if I cant find you an online manual
ok, well i've kinda fixed the leak problem, not totally though, but now, the output is spewing tons of bubbles, i thought the output should just be water and not have so many bubbles, how is this fixed so that the skimmer doesn't turn my tank into nothing but bubbles? ugg, i suck at skimmers
Don't beat yourself up skimmers can be tricky. Each one has it's own little setting quirks. Like I said I will try to find you a manual tomorrow. If you want to get it sooner try google that is where I plan to start.
