The anubias will need nutrients from something, whether it's a nutrient rich substrate or liquid fertilizers in the water. If you attach it to rock or driftwood, make sure the anubias roots are in contact with the nutrient source.
Yeah I figured that the roots would need to be in contact with a source proving nutrients for them. Does anyone have an idea as to what the best source would be? I've tried looking up info online through google, but I can't find a detailed set of steps on how one can effectively grow anubias emersed.
I am growing a A. congensis emersed in my paludarium. It is attached to a piece of wood and the roots are allowed to grow down into the water column. I dose Flourish and occasionally KNO3 and it is doing just fine.
