you seem to be going thru the big ones faster than the little ones; with that pattern will you make it the the end? are you planning a gradient toward "downhill" of big rocks fading into little ones?
All the big ones are used now, and many of the mediums are large anyhow. We did make it all the way around the pond with the big ones on the bottom row and then started stacking the larger medium ones on top of those. We'll fade into smaller ones around the edges, and still we're probably going to have a ton (or two) left over. LOL. Obviously we over-estimated our need. But such is life. We'll find other projects to do with the rocks I am sure. Any suggestions welcome.
Anyhow - we just stopped for lunch for a few minutes, now headed back out there. We will probably finish the rocks today. I'm super excited!!
The next challenge is how on earth to get the dirt out of the pond. I'm beginning to think we're going to have to completely drain it and refill... I don't know how else to get the dirt out. The water clarifier that we added didn't do a thing. It was enough to treat 2400 gallons, but it didn't even make a slight difference in the floating dirt particles. It's still just as murky today as it was before we added the clarifier yesterday. Definitely open to suggestions there.
