Emotionally Attached To Your FISH?

I am attached to my Oscar and yes Oscar is his name, my daughter named him. I remember the day I brought him home. He is a member of our family like a dog or cat. We all get worried and up in arms if he has a bad day, or seems bummed out. We all are excited on the days of the week he gets his feeders. I will cry on the day I lose him. I will work 8-10 hours and come home and if he needs a water change or a vac I will do it that night and not wait till morning.
I had a killifish I loved I cried when I found him dead. His name was electric cord and yes my daughter named him. I had a pleco I adored Mr Robinson..... I named that one, he leaped out when I came home from my honey moon and cracked his head, I cried. I nursed him for a few days and he passed away, my ex-husband and I cried together that day. I had a cory cat called grumpy when I was a little girl.... I loved and cried when he passed.
These fish were special to me they weren't just pets they are and were friends. Not all my fish stand out to me like those special few but I do get so attached and try to provide the BEST care possible!!!

I get attached to many of my fish especially my Bettas.

My BP, I got her from a couple who were taking really bad care of their tank. I got two of them from those people, and nursed them back to health. I lost the male over the winter, and was pretty upset about it. I get really attached to the ones that I rescue since life has been so hard for them.

I love all of my fish, but I am most attached to the 2 pictus cats I rescued from a bad...bad tank, and my plecos. But of course I love my angels too! Like someone said in earlier post, its the love of the hobby!:dive2:
