i own 12 of them they are excellent and keep your tank clear and clean. just make sure to check the spray bars that squirt water on the bio wheels the small holes need cleaned now and then if you dont your bio wheels wont spin. you wont regret this filter ebay is the cheapest to get them brand new and used ones are also available. i buy all my aquarium filters on ebay and save lots of $$$$$
 
I've got one of these and the spray bars quit working completely..any clues out there? theres no water going up to them at all...bumfuzzled...
 
Heya ,
It sounds that something in the intake is plugged . I would start by checking the impellor. That is usually the problem with most systems.

I took the whole filter off about a week ago and and cleaned the impeller hole out because it wasnt up to par in water flow..it works great now but spray bars werent working before and arent working after...im browsing the web for clues..found a site that tweaks these units for a more optimum performance but ...not sure why..heres the site..

Have you tried taking the filter apart and cleaning out the spray bars with the little brush that is included? That always works for me.
 
Well...The holes werent plugged but out of curiosity..im going to take system off the tank again and break out the magnifying glass!...tehee...my curiosity is way up there now...GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
