empty 30 gal wanting to put corys or loaches help me Lupin

okay lol well now i have a new question is it okay to have a 20 gallon biowheel and a 30 gallon aquaclear in my 30 gallon? also how do i tell the gender between gouramis? What species should i add first? i was thinking neons, kuhlis then the pearl but idk any advice?

Gourami males have a pointed dorsal fin (top), females are more rounded. Pearl males over ~2 inches have an orangish chest compared to females. Either sex is ok alone.

2 filters are good, alternate cleaning.

I would do neons first then gourami, kuhlis last.

i thought the gourami would make its territory so it should be last why kuhlis last?

The gourami's territory won't include the bottom where the loaches will be most of the time. Pearls are less denfensive than some gourami species too. The kuhlis are a bit more sensitive to water conditions so it's good to let the tank stabilize.

Beneficial bacteria & microorganisms need some time to grow on surfaces. It's what is meant by "established tank" not just cycled. It really takes at least 6 months but you don't have to wait that long.

tank is already estanblished

How are you keeping it cycled? If you're putting in new substrate you will lose a significant amount of bacteria, lots of surface area. Loaches last as there will be little "bio-slime" built up where they spend most of their time.

I suggested the neons first as they are not always as hardy & healthy as other fish. Sort of like a quarrantine period without having to move them.

okay well i just added black moon sand and my filter is seeded and my water is bacterialised and i'll post pictures of my tank
it was a bb tank

should i get cardinals or neons?
well heres the the tank after 1 water change
