Stick with either the Daffodil's or the regular Brichardi in the 30gal oh and yes regular Brichardi are called Fairy cichlids cool deal..

ill have to see what dave has. im hoping for a breeding pair bcuz i saw one last time i was there. i hope i dont have to pair any off though bcuz that will be a pain to have to do. i can get some danios like you said next time i go to petsmart. they will look good under the lights.
on another note. can i add any altocomps. to keep the fry population in check? or will it get killed by the parents?
P.S. this tank has no hood. all it has is a Current Orbit lighting fixture that sits on top, do i need to get something to cover this. if so what should i get.

Anything from the brichardi/pulcher complex will demolish tankmates when fry are involved. They should be kept in species tanks for breeding purposes.
I agree with pappy no other fish especially in this tank stick with species only the danios will be a surplus.. you could use egg crate for a top but i prefer all glass lids..
