I found a empty 75 gallon all glass tank on the side of the road with a little crack on the bottom.
I want to make something out of it but i am not sure what to put into it throw me some ideas.

The possibilities are tremendous! Are you interested in one or a few specimen pets, or more of a habitat setup with lots of smaller critters?

If I had a cracked 75 lying around, I'd probably set it up as a temperate savannah/vernal wetland habitat with tiger salamanders and toads. You could create some tunnels along the front glass to view the animals while they're laying low, provide a pool area for the toads to spawn in, and landscape it with all sorts of neat native plants and lichens, tree stumps, and rocks. Leave the top open to give the taller plants room to grow and suspend some powerful lights over it. This tank would go through a lot of water, but it would be worth it!

The tunnel would be an excellent idea. I have seen one of those online and a friend of mine did it with his tranchula. Very intereting.

Ever heard of a chineese water dragon? They seem fun. I have just been going online and looking up exotic pets for like 3 days now.

I can't decide what would be better a nice ecosystem thing with many critters or just one solid centerpiece.

Keep the ideas flowing.

Chinese water dragons are cool lizards, but too big for a 75. You could keep a juvenile in there until you had time to upgrade, though.

Yeah i was kinda figuring too big. I don't really have enough money to upgrade now or anytime soon so we will just X that one. haha

Can taranchula live in harmony with anything else? anyone know?

chinese water dragons are slow growers, and full of so much personality. but to really enjoy them, you would need an uncracked tank.

you should just get a peice of glass or acrilic the size of the bottom, put it in the tank, and compleatly silicone it in. waterproof

I'd get a pair of Crocodile Skinks! Kind of uncommon and very unsual. But they do tend to hide.

You could do lots of green anoles and house geckos. Set up a little water fall with a corner of the tank siliconed off, it would be great. Or a lot of treefrogs. :grinyes:
