It's nice to know Spanish is making its way to the northern nations.

I only learned the dirty words in spanish class. My teacher wasn't very good.

Guess I should clarify my last post...

Forget politeness, if you work in a dangerous environment, imagine the confusion if seconds mattered on a life or death situation when workers around you are speaking different languages.

A few year ago, I remember I saw this "news program" (morelike a tabloid) where they were celebrating a court desicion that allowed the employees of a certain company to speak in Spanish among them in the office.

The company had spanish prohibited, since they ware tracking cases where the spanish speaking persons were making fun of the other people.

Spanish was the first 'foreign' language I learned when I was about 5 years old--I learned it from Sesame Street! Now that Canada is officially bilingual it's been replaced by french. I still remember how to count to 10 in spanish though (but I'm not sure how far that would ever get me)...

Didn't someone try that on a plane once?

No, that wasn't it, it was his shoe!

Remeber Babel Tower? (the biblical story, not the search engine) Everybody started speaking in different languages and the job could not be completed.

Well, at least everybody were speaking the same language... or they had excellent translators.
