I'm thinking about waiting on the Endlers until I get my 10 gallon set up. I'm planning on getting a 10 gallon setup for my birthday (so this will be sometime between January and March). I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to order the Endlers online and pay an arm and a leg for them, so I'm figuring I'll get a breeding trio (pair? I'll figure that out...) and keep them in the 5 gallon I have now, then periodically transfer them to my 10 gallon if the 5 gal. gets too crowded. I haven't worked out the details though, as the 5 gallon may be too overcrowded by the time the babies are big enough to move (I'm hoping to have some other fish in the 10 gallon, so the baby Endlers will have to be big enough not to be eaten, I think).
I'm just a mess trying to figure out how to get all these fish I want. Hehe!
