Hello all,

I'm just getting into inverts and was wondering if this combo would work...Endlers, Kuhli Loaches, and Neocaridina sp. shrimp. My biggest concern would be for the shrimplets.

I've heard mixed reactions regarding endlers and shrimplets...can anyone with experience confirm? Also, would kuhli loaches eat my shrimplets and endler fry?

thanks:silly:

i don't picture the khuli's eating shrimplets as i don't think their mouths are right for it, but i have no experience with this to back that up. i would try it though.

Kuhlis are okay with shrimps and snails. Everyone should be able to coexist together although endlers might eat your shrimplets unless you add more plants.

Great...glad to hear that the kuhli's are okay. I'm still hearing mixed thoughts about the endlers and would love to hear from more people who've raised them together.

How about cory cats?...like sterbai or panda? I always hear mixed reviews about them eating fish fry or shrimplets as well. Anyone have first hand experience they can share?

How about bristlenose? Bumblebee gobies (i don't water parameters are off but...)?

Bristlenose shouldn't...
Bumblebee gobies are made for eating tiny lifeforms such as shrimplets.

Cories eating others in predatory style is outrageous. They are oblivious to anyone.

Is that so? I've kept fish for over 20 years but never, ever paid much attention to cories. If given a choice, I'd always pick a loach or a rare pleco as bottom feeders.

So you're basically saying I can keep this in my discus and angelfish fry growout tanks and not worry about any predation? That's great news.

Again, that is great news...not sure how I never heard about this. None of the breeders in my area keep anything other than otos or snails with their fry. Now to decide which cory. I like the size of the pygmys but can't say I'm thrilled by the way they look. I'm thinking a panda or sterbai but the ones I really like have a bright orange or green stripe down their back (almost glows like neons). I just can't remember what they're called or how to find them again...haven't seen them in a few years.

Anyone know? thanks again
