Endlers Livebearer in a 2.5 gallon? Work out? Yes, no?

it depends on the individual betta. Some are quite nice and play well with others, while mine kills anything living in his tank. Including snails. I heard him crashing into the gravel one night and found several dead ones on the gravel the next morning.

edit: I'd try with ghost shrimp first, too. They're cheaper so you're not at too much of a loss if yours end up being a killer :)

well, it's a hit-and-miss thing. some bettas eat them, some leave them alone. i'd try a ghost before a cherry.

For sure, try a ghost shrimp first becauce they are dirt cheap, and if the betta does eat it then you know not to try any other shrimp, and you would then only be out a few cents, as opposed to trying a cherry shrimp right away and being out a few bucks.

ok, sounds good. i can always move the shrimp to my 5 gallon if the betta goes crazy!! off topic but, can the shrimp climb over a mesh (window screen mesh) tank divider?

i've heard of it happening. slippery littie buggers, ghost shrimp.

that's not a bad thing, i might divide a tank with mesh that's 3-5 gallons and have a ghost shrimp.
