Endlers Livebearers

i would if i still had mine. maybe i should set up a 40 gallon breeder for them again. its just big fish are so much funner to me. and im trying to breed honduran red points which should be in demand too.

:help: I have a 100 gallon tank full of hundreds of endler females and babies, plus a 10 gallon tank with about 80 surplus endler males. I am interested in selling some since I have a surfeit of endlers of both genders. Even adding both a Betta and a African Butterfly Fish (Pantodon) has not made a noticeable dent. I have lots of plastic plants at the surface designed to make endler babies feel safe. And there is a second endler population which hugs the gravel tank bottom.

:pc: I will not have access to a computer again until January 2006. To contact me via snail-mail, write to: timidtornado, 154 Lincoln Ave. #103, Woodland, CA 95695

Sigh... I had pure endler's once upon a time.. but oh no.. I had to find out if it was possible to crossbreed with guppies. Oh yeah it is... the resultant fry are fertile, less agressive, and show a mixture of traits.

Oh, and check with your local city. I originially got endler's livebearers as a free biological control for mosquito's. The city found them easy to breed, and gave them out free to anyone with standing water. One of the biggest pros of the city using endlers was that no endler could survive the winter.. so little ecological impact past one season.

I understand the city switched to common guppies since.. darn it!
