A lot of our fish in this hobby are bred in the US, except the ones who refuse to breed for us.

Our president bought a poodle... I think he will be on pet owners sides. lol In all seriousness I have no doubt that this bill will fail. There are a lot of people against it in the hobby, and on top of that it will be another kick in the nuts to our economy. If petstores can't import pets how many MAJOR chains will go out of business... Petco, Petsmart, etc... along with all the mom&pop LFSs out there. They will not let this happen.

Im with you on the thought but not with Petco or petsmart...those chains are huge..and they would survive without there salt section.

The small guy is hit the hardest and I avoid petco unless i really have to go there. I support small business for sure. Even if hes a proud democrat i put up with it and support his shop.:silly:

I've never done the research to be honest and I very well may be dead wrong. Isn't it true that they have to import MANY types of pets... not just saltwater fish. Many freshwater species, as well as many small animals like hamsters, chinchillas, many types of birds... I mean I'm sure a certain percentage are bread in the states... but I'm sure its far from the majority of where they get their stock from.
