Hello,
I recently bought a rose bubble tip anemone. I have a 70gal tank, in operation for six months. 60lb live rock, all the proper equipment. 384 watts power compact lights. Just tested my water: SG 1.024, temp 76, nitrate neg, nitrite neg, NH3 neg, ph 8.2, ca++ 390, alk 3.0. I bought this anemone three days ago. It had good color, full bubble tips. On day one, I placed it in the middle of the tank in a mild to mod water current after proper acclamation. By nighttime it retreated to under a rock. Day two the bubble tips turned to straight tips, but appeared ok. On day three (today) the tentacles are completely retracted and it has it's mouth open. Is this normal behavior or am I at risk of loosing it? Please help!!
