Jpappy i never say anything like that today at first meal its fine and eat the flakes easily i think there must me something wrong in water yesterday

You should do a large water change until someone can help you further. Large as in 50% to 75%. I thought with discus you were supposed to change their water every day at like 80%? Thats the main reason that I don't want those beautiful fish.
Not quite, but juveniles do need large and frequent water changes. I have recently been bitten by the discus bug, and now have a 120gal with a dozen 2.5+" juveniles. I do 50% waterchanges every other day, which is actually not very hard to do, if you have a python or similar setup.
To the OP, I would increase my water changes to 50%, 3 times a week at the minimum. Since you state that you only have a DIY sponge-filter, your tank could be building up with toxic nitrogenous compounds, so maybe add another sponge filter or increase those water changes.
Also that 34gal might be a tad small, once those discus reach maturity, most discus nuts agree that 10gal is the minimum per fish. Just something to think about in the near future, if you have the chance to grab something bigger.
i have 3 this kind of juveniles and one blue, my discus are small and riiz thanks for sharing your experience its really mean a lot for me and good news is my discus which have that issue is fine today at meal times and i should arrange power head filter next week and now change water as i do in past (almost 3 times 120% in week)
Sounds like you are doing fairly well but you should really increase filtration and get a bigger tank. THey need a large tank in adulthood.
For a newbie to discus your tank is undersized it leaves you no room for error in water quality.
If you continue to keep them in this small tank you will need to do min of 50% WC every other day. Your maintenance right now will stunt your discus. It needs to change.

Your discus are already stunted. Juveniles need 50% daily (75% is better) to avoid stunting in a decent sized tank. Its not too late though, they're only halfway through their juvenile stage so you can try growing them out more.
Stunted discus aren't the end of the world though... They perform just like their normal counterparts. My female was stunted when I got her and she's doing fine.
I would try to get a cheap 55 gallon tank on craigslist. Breeders can use smaller tanks for growing, but they change their water 90%+ daily.

listen to all this good advice! I tried but I still had some issues. discus CAN BE difficult tho many have much success. so to increase your success rate, listen & do. w/c is critical & water testing (suggest API master test kit, no strips). so give us your test kit results so members can guide you better.
