I just set up my 10 gal. refugium for my 44 gal FOWLR tank. Everything went pretty well ;other than shorting out my whole room, but I took care of that problem.
Now my return pump is pumping out more than is coming in
I don't get it! There doesn't seem to be any clogs butI don't know for sure. Anyone know how to resolve this issue before I burn out my pump.
Thanks

Perhaps your return pump is simply too big for the drain to keep up? If that is indeed the case, you can get a smaller pump, or add a tee in the return line, with a ball valve and tubing so that you can divert some of the flow right back into the sump.

O, well the overflow hose is huge compared to the return pump. I was just thinking with the setup I have it could be evaporation (I didn't think of that variable when I built it) :rant2: I'm going to put tape on the tank to mark the water level. any other insight would be useful because I really don't think this is the problem.
