found my black tailed eretmodus cyanostictus, swimming upside down, not sure why, he was fine the day before. his stomach looked deformed. i seperated him into a livebearer holder. dosed the tank with melafix (its all i had for meds, figure why not) found him dead the next morning. im guessing bloat got him, but i dont know why. because none of the other fish that need spirulina in their diet are effected.
 
The one in his avatar isn't his fish, but it's the same species.

When I read the name of the post, I got sad. I'm really sorry, Austin. You helped me out a lot when I was looking at this species.

im not sure what it was. he got a burial the next day out in the yard (nice fish dont deserve the septic tank). ive still got one more eretmodus who is happy and healthy in my cyp tank, this one was in the mbuna-ish/tang tank.

he's the one on the left, he had such a strange tail, it was easy to tell them apart tho. this was when they still got along with each other
