Erythromycin good for discus with fin rot?

Diann62, you've had these 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 inch discus for a couple years?

What are your params? Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate? I'm wondering if you have had an ammonia spike, maybe while you were gone. You have a missing fish that may be decaying somewhere in the tank.

Check the params, hopefully with a good liquid test kit, and let us know how it turns out.

I would do large water changes every day, maybe 50 -70%, or maybe do a bit less volume a couple of times a day to try to have really pristine water to help your guys get better.

As LeahK mentioned, there may be some other process going on, but, evenso, pristine water will provide optimum conditions to help them fight whatever it is as we all try to figure this out.

Can't wait to see pics of your tank and fish. Hope things get better for you.

When I checked the params, my ammonia was .25. I removed all the wood to see if I could find the dead bristlenose but didn't. I'm thinking he got eaten and maybe he was the reason for the ammonia? Anyway, I'm upping my water changes to every second day instead of every day and still doing 50%.
