Etiquette Question...

I would also agree with using a nice font on the invitations, we did. That was 15 years ago and it was eccepted without a problem (as far as I know).

We actually didnt have very much input as to how the wedding was going to be as the inlaws did most of the planning. We tried to do more but were not given much leadway. Oh, and as far as tradition goes, if Emily Post wasnt dead already, I probably would have shot her myself. My inlaws went traditional in planning and used her books for referance. We didnt have much of a choice as they were footing most of the bill. One of the things that really ticked us off was the guest list as Emily Post says the brides parents get 50%, the grooms parents get 25% which leaves 25% to be split between the bride and groom. That sucked. So again, as far as tradition goes, IMO plan your wedding to be the best day of your life and dont worry to much about the little things. To much planning will wipe you out and on that day, you will be so burned out that you wont enjoy it. On a kind of funny note on our wedding day, at the end of everything, we ended up at the hotel by the airport as we were going to Kauai the next morning. We were so wiped out, we ordered a club sandwich through room service and fell asleep.
