Well, I just learned the hard way the difference between a quality and cheap skimmer (jebo 180....).

So I'm looking at getting a real one. I'm looking at both of these. My tank is a 125 reef that will be medium/heavy bio load.

Anybody have opinions on either one?

Thanks!

Look into the Octopus skimmers.

octopus isn't one of the two options...I have the option to buy one of those two, and would like to know if one is better than another

It arrived today, and the mixing chamber splintered in half during shipment. I could probably cut and sand the two sides, and superglue them back together, but I would lose quite a bit of height. Does the height of the mixing chamber matter?

Very,very much so!

Call ETSS for a replacement

I was able to figure out the puzzle of pieces and superglue them back together - there's still two leaks, one shoots out a tiny jet of water and one shoots out just a little bit of water. The bubble column looks great in the skimmer, so did I fix it good enough for it to work?

???????????

If it holds together & can ya fix thoes leaks????????

Why the question marks? The tower was in 4 pieces. I superglued the pieces together, and it leaks a little in a couple places along the seams. I added some more superglue but it still leaks a little bit.
