actually, there has been a study to prove that humans like odd numbers... but who will notice with 100 fish... if you have less than 20, then it's kinda up to personal preference with tho odd-even

Once you have at least 6-8 it no longer matters whether odd or even, nor will sexing matter a great deal. Keep in mind that having more females than males in most types is preferable. Some fish, like giant danios, more males than females are needed but only if you wish to breed.
yeah cuz u know in the wild no animals are ever found in even groups right, i thought that was just common sense

There is more chance of seeing a group in odd number being natural than an even number.:grinyes: :laugh:
I don't care about the number honestly. It's all about personal taste.
