I saw one at very close range, probably within 3-4 hundred yards. It's a long story but it was back around 1977. It was in Ft Lauderdale ,Florida(usa).
I won't go into great detail but there were other witnesses. We could actually see the craft and it was not from here. It did the streak across the sky thing several times . It was hovering over a rotating resturant called Pier 66. This resturant is about 10 stories and has a round saucer shaped top that spins once every hour.
We actually observed it as it made its way slowly out over the ocean and from there it made a flash of colors and was gone .
I always question myself after all these years , wow , was that really real , after all it's been a long time ago . But when we saw it were were freakin out , this was unreal.
Then back around 1994 I was in Orlando and a discussion came up about me seeing a UFO. There was a couple there that said they heard about the same sighting from a friend of theirs. This gave me chills that confirmed that others did see what I saw.
After seeing that UFO I was wishing to see another one really bad but that was the only one I've ever seen .
This sighting was so close , not like other sightings where people see lights of in the distance and think they have seen a UFO, we could see the craft.
I will see if I can post a pic of the resturant. The funny thing is that the top of the resturant looks like a saucer and we were wondering if the UFO was checking out what they thought might be a saucer to.?
