Everything but my snail died...what now?

hey tricia..

i don't think 50% water change is bad in cases of emergencies like not so good levels of ammonia/nitrite/nitrates
i go 50% daily in cases like these...

just a thought, other may not agree :duh:

A 29 gallon is a good size starter tank. I wouldn't really recommend anything smaller, as you may end up frustrated at trying to maintain water quality in it. And as Holly points out, the price difference is not that great in this range. And with 29, water changes aren't so large as to tire you out with the hobby. I use a five gallon paint bucket for water changes, and maintain good water quality changing one not-so-full bucket a week in my 29.

Just don't go wild stocking your bigger tank. There's no need to fill it up with fish, or fill it up right away. Certainly research what you want to put in it before you buy fish.

Mvigor, I checked out your tanks and I love the idea of a tank in the guest room! just wanted to say I love your tanks, your a good designer!
