Ew, tattoos on fish? >.>

Personally, I have no desire to have a tattooed fish, BUT we declaw our cats, dock the tails and ears of our dogs and Lord even circumcise our children with no sedation, so I really don't see the difference! It's silly and senseless, but really does no more harm than the things mentioned above which are done are a very regular basis. My main concern wouldn't be so much with the discomfort caused doing it, but if there are any long-term effects on these sensitive creatures from the dye.

first of all, i got tattoos.... one giant one on my head, and another on my back.

they hurt, plain and simple.... if it uses a needle it hurts.

secondly, that sick man..... what would you do if someone tattooed crap all over your cat.

would you buy an $800 persian cat that had kisses tattooed all over it?



this is cruel, and serves no purpose other than to fuel the imaginations of idiots, the kind of people who shouldnt even have fish.

its like painting a gun with balloons, and animals, trying to sell them to 5 year olds.

i also dont agree with declawing cats, or any of that other cruel stuff.

if you declaw a cat and it escapes, it will die because it has no means with which to kill food.

As for Circumcision, im sure it was excruciating, but i don't remember the pain.

Even though the experience of listening to your son scream would convince you that it most certainly IS very painful, it just can't be remembered. Soooooo, if in a year, the fish "forgets", does that make it okay? No, it really doesn't. But we, as a society, have deemed the majority of those things fine, since they serve the purpose of making things easier/better for us later on. I still think it is senseless and serves no purpose, but in the grand scheme of things, there are faaaaar worse things done to animals in this world, humans too. I really WOULD like to know though, just exactly how the heck they do tattoo them!!

i agree that it would be hard listening to your child scream, but im darn certain that later in life, he would be thankful for it, and rather have had it done then, as opposed to waiting until he was 20 or something, and would remember the pain, as well as the pain afterwards.

and i also agree that I would like to know how the heck they do it to.... cant be easy.

and if the fish live, over 75% of them lose the color that theyve been dyed with in less than a year. IF they live that long.

Tattooing fish requires lasers and I'm sure it hurts the fish somehow. I think that if you buy fish with "I love you" and hearts and kisses all over them then you are a putz and probably shouldn't own fish anyways.
